Impostor

Everyone knows the secret word — except one. Find them before they blend in.

What is Impostor?

Impostor is a quick game of bluff for a room full of straight faces. Every round a secret word is dealt to everyone — except one player, who gets nothing and has to fake it. Clues go around one word at a time: prove you know the word without giving it away, while the Impostor improvises to blend in. Then the room votes — and even a caught Impostor gets one last guess to steal the round.

How a night runs

  1. The word goes out

Everyone secretly sees the same word — except one of you, who sees nothing at all.

  2. One clue each

Around the table, one word per player: close enough to prove you know it, vague enough not to hand it over.

  3. Debate and vote

Whose clue rang hollow? Make your case and vote the fake out.

  4. The Last Stand

A caught Impostor gets one guess at the word — land it and they steal the round. Points stack across rounds.
